JAMES BURGESS BOOK JR. MANSION

Built in 1911 and designed by renowned architect Louis Kamper, the James Burgess Book Jr. Mansion is a striking example of Renaissance Revival architecture. As part of the mansion’s ongoing preservation, we carefully restored the solarium within the historic home.

Our team worked to retain the solarium's original design while updating it for long-term durability. The restoration highlights the mansion's architectural elegance, which includes its Corinthian pilasters, detailed stonework, and expansive living spaces, ensuring that this important piece of Detroit’s history remains a vibrant part of the city’s architectural legacy.
